Leisure System Electrics Overhaul

Originally a 12v system all wired from one of the lorry batteries.  This is a no no, when trucks are 24v power should be drained equally from both batteries, otherwise the result is that one battery drops and lorry won’t start, or ultimately one battery will fail.

Leisure system upgrade meant fitting of two leisure batteries in series making 24v, the advantage of this is by installing a 24v split charge relay these batteries can charge at 140A whilst engine running as opposed to 16-30A as most equipment used supplies.

240v to 24v battery charger.  This when on hookup charges ALL batteries, yes! Even the lorry ones, so when you have left the lights on, as we all do, you can plug in and 1 hour later, start the lorry.

Leisure equipment such lights and heaters etc can then be chosen either 24v or 12v with addition of 24v to 12v dropper.

For all those that want to harness green energy, 24v solar panels can also be added.
